Sweeps and mops floors
Takes food carts to proper floors
All other duties as assigned
Ability to demonstrate residents likes and dislikes on diet cards
Ability to follow written and oral instructions
Able to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., push, or pull heavy objects
Ability to produce simple foods
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to work in hot and humid environment
Ability to work around slippery floors
Ability to work every other weekend
No experience needed willing to train
Incumbent receives detailed instructions for new tasks and follows specific procedures for recurring tasks. Work is supervised by higher level staff or supervisor.
PERSONAL WORK RELATIONSHIPS
Works with facility kitchen staff and interacts with residents and other facility staff.
Incumbent is often standing, walking, stooping, and pushing food and dish carts. Occasionally, incumbent must lift boxes of food or exert effort in scrubbing floors, furniture, and kitchen equipment.
Incumbent works primarily in a kitchen which is both noisy and hot. Incumbent is exposed to the hazard of falling on slippery floors or being burned or cut while using kitchen utensils and appliances.
